Bunny Brunel Jazz Fusion Fest is a limited documentary and live-performance series exploring the music, musicians, innovators, and cultural forces that defined the jazz fusion era.

Hosted by legendary bassist, composer, and Fusion Giant Bunny Brunel, the one-season series combines documentary-style storytelling, interviews, archival perspective, and live performance before a studio audience. Each episode examines a different part of the fusion story: the artists who expanded the boundaries between jazz, rock, funk, and other musical forms; the recordings and performances that helped define the genre; and the people behind the airwaves who brought this music to audiences around the world.

The series also turns its attention to the broadcasters, programmers, journalists, and advocates who helped sustain fusion and introduce generations of listeners to the music, including figures such as Tony Palkovic and others whose contributions to the genre extend far beyond the stage.

Throughout the series, Brunel brings both historical perspective and firsthand experience to the conversation, while live performances place the music itself at the center of each episode.

More than a retrospective, Bunny Brunel Jazz Fusion Fest is an exploration of the evolution, influence, musicianship, and continuing legacy of jazz fusion—told by the people who lived it, played it, supported it, and kept it on the air.
