A Taste of Jazz — Valentine’s Day Dinner & Concert

On February 14, 2019, Kaylene Peoples and Bunny Brunel present A Taste of Jazz in Altadena—a private Valentine’s Day dinner and concert experience that blends fine dining with live jazz performance. Set within an intimate residential setting, the evening offers a uniquely curated program where music and atmosphere are seamlessly intertwined.

Peoples leads the performance on vocals and flute, joined by Mahesh Balasooriya on piano, Joe Calderon on guitar, and Bryan Cabrera on drums. Special guest Chase Masterson appears as Mistress of Ceremonies and guest vocalist, adding a theatrical and engaging dimension to the evening. Brunel, in addition to performing on bass, prepares a four-course meal as chef for the event, further elevating the experience into a multi-sensory presentation.

Beginning with dinner service followed by a live concert and audience Q&A, the evening reflects a refined and personal approach to performance—combining musical sophistication with hospitality and artistic vision.
